The first opening of the game came the visitor's way, when Lionel Messi floated the ball over the top of the Eibar defence, but Luis Suarez lost his composure in the penalty area and fired over the crossbar.

Taking advantage of a misfire competitors, as well as winning the extreme tour of Sporting 2: 3, Eibar broke lose-lose streak of 4 games in a row, scored 26 points and rising to 9 spot in the standings.

Three days after picking up a Copa del Rey win over Real Sociedad, Barca were back in the Basque region but this time they took their time to find their rhythm in the compact 5,500-capacity stadium.

Substitute Denis Suarez, who replaced the injured Sergio Busquets, opened the scoring with a crisp 20-yard drive. A wall pass with Luis Suarez was all it took for Messi to be teed up for an easy tap-in, and with a cushion to work with, this game seemed as good as over.

Eibar's hopes of picking up a first league point against their opponents faded soon into the second half, as Messi swept home on the half-volley after Luis Suarez spotted his run with an inch-perfect cross.

Andres Iniesta is the main injury problem for Barca with the creative midfielder suffering from a calf injury and the coach will have to decide whether he plays Arda Turan once again in the third attacking role.

A poor clearance from Umtiti allowed Adrian Gonzalez to try his luck from range, sending a shot down the middle for Ter Stegen to easily keep out.

Luis Suarez robbed defender Florian Lejeune to drill in clinically before Neymar converted an injury-time cross.

A great goal. It's as if they don't need to look.
