Mrs Papini told investigators the younger woman had long curly hair, thin eyebrows and a thick accent. But motorists kept whizzing past her. Keith Papini She screamed so much, she's coughing up blood from the screaming trying to get somebody to stop. "And again just another sign of how my wife is, she's so wonderful". I will confirm the suspects did brand her.

In an exclusive sit-down with 20/20, Keith Papini opens up about the personal toll his wife's capture took on him.

In a statement to Good Morning America, Keith Papini said that the rumors, assumptions and lies about his wife's situation were exhausting and disgusting but he continues to thank the people who supported them. Numerous details that Sherri's husband Keith revealed to Good Morning America just one day prior seemed to surprise the sheriff.

Now that the two day process is over, the sheriff revealed the 34-year-old described her captors to authorities as two Hispanic women with guns.

During the interviews with Papini, she described the sequence of events surrounding this case.

"She was chained anytime she was in the vehicle", he said. "She ran to the freeway". Meanwhile, according to the International Business Times, Keith and Sherri Papini allegedly stand to gain several hundred thousand dollars from an anonymous donor, who originally offered up the money as ransom to the kidnappers for the safe return of Sherri.

The crucial items were found by Mr Papini on the Mountain Gate trail about 1.5km from the Papini residence in the days after his wife vanished.

Sherri Papini was missing for three weeks before she was found on Thanksgiving.

Authorities are now looking for two suspects.

One theory is that this may have been connected to a sex trafficking ring.

A Shasta County community is welcoming home a traumatized, battered and branded Sherri Papini after she was held captive for three weeks, then left on the side of I-5.

Papini went missing November 2 while jogging near her home in Redding. She was found about 150 miles south of where she disappeared.

"Obviously, a very sick person who may have wanted to not only to cut it off to change her physical appearance, but also as to humiliate them, wear her down", Bosenko said. The older of the pair had straight black hair and thick eyebrows, Bosenko said at an afternoon news conference. "We don't have that information as to why", Bosenko told The Bee.

The sheriff has said the case is puzzling for a number of reasons, including motive.

"It sounds to me that she was essentially tortured", Salfen said. "Yes, I think with some of the details he has provided it could affect the integrity of the investigation". Salfen employed two retired Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and a retired police detective to help analyze "all the evidence" in an effort to try and piece together what happened to Papini, and perhaps lead them to the missing woman.

The husband of an abducted northern California woman says she had trouble finding someone to help her after she was dropped off by her captors, bound on the side of the road.

Bosenko said Papini was unable to provide more detailed descriptions because her still at-large abductors covered their faces at times, or her own head was covered.
