On Prince Harry's 11 day in the Caribbean, he was able to meet the Barbados-born Rihanna and two knock it off well right away.

Harry had a public HIV test during the summer in London and admitted to being nervous before the result came back negative.

Prince Harry explained he wanted to showcase how easy it is to undergo AIDS testing, while stressing the importance of treating the virus with the proper medication.

Over the last four years, a successful drop-in market-stall event has been run on World Aids Day, ultimately encouraging men to stop and have a relaxed conversation about any issues.

Britain's Prince Harry and worldwide popstar Rihanna took HIV tests on Thursday as part of a World Aids Day campaign in Barbados.

"She has had people in her life that she has known, who have died from AIDS".

He then winced as she stuck the pin into his finger.

It came to be a sweet encounter for Prince Harry and Rihanna as they both celebrated 50 years of independence of Barbados, the hometown of the Umbrella singer.

But the highlights of the day were the playful banters of Rihanna and Prince Harry. "It's not as painful as you said this morning".

Harry had his left thumb pricked by Susette Neblett-Straughn, a counsellor at the Ministry of Health HIV/STI programme who has conducted thousands of HIV tests over the past 12 years.

Prince Harry has been very busy with royal engagements lately, even as his relationship with Suits actress Meghan Markle continues to get much media attention.

Harry and Rihanna stopped at a makeshift barber shop set up in a small marquee, where one man was having a shave.

Harry interjected: "Everybody tells their hairdresser everything".

"One of the myths is that royalty don't have sex", he said amid laughter. Harry asked, perhaps hoping to change the subject.

"I'm not sitting in that chair", Harry said, gesturing towards the barber, as those around him laughed.
