The Houston Rockets head to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz.

"I think it's maturity", Utah coach Quin Snyder said after the team's 112-103 win over Minnesota on Monday night.

When the Rockets square off against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night, it will mark the 12th road game in the team's first 18 games. "Sometimes, it's as simple as that". "We've been getting some pretty good looks. I was able to knock down some good shots and see the ball go in and that was that". Hood does that here and gets an excellent shot for his team through his teammates.

They eventually sneaked into the playoffs on the final day of the regular season - largely in thanks to a 60-point Kobe Bryant effort against the Utah Jazz - and they were duly dispatched by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs 4-1. George Hill finished the game with 24 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

James Harden scored 26 points to lead Houston but was an inefficient 8 for 23 from the field.

Brooklyn's Sean Kilpatrick scored 31 of his career-high 38 points across the fourth quarter and double-overtime to steer the Nets past the Los Angeles Clippers 127-122, ending a seven-game losing sequence.

Hayward said the Jazz wanted to make the Rockets, who average 14 3-pointers and 109.8 points, focus on the defensive end to take away from their offensive production.

They got big games from Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert and Rodney Hood. And that was that.

The Blazers aren't a bad team, but there's a good chance they won't have an answer for Harden's now-patented creativity. As a team, the Rockets shot a healthy 56.1 percent from the field and 17 of 36 from the 3-point line.

"He's really good at what he does", Houston coach Mike D' Antoni said. We didn't pick up at the right points. "We guarded, and we executed defensively, and that's why we won this game". But now that we have SportVu data, it turns out that the reason this is true is because players who have made their last shot are more likely to take more hard shots, artificially lowering their shooting percentage. We'll try to figure that out.

"I just thought the whole game it looked like we were running in mud".

While the Rockets offense and copious threes has resulted in a winning record, the return of Patrick Beverley has had an interesting effect as Maurice Bobb of Bleacher Report points out.

After 17 games played in the young National Basketball Association season, the Houston Rockets are now 11-6 and if the playoffs started today they would be facing the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. 10 days ago, the Jazz dropped their third game in what would become a four-game losing streak to James Harden and the Houston Rockets. The Jazz center had 16 points and 14 rebounds, for his 11 double-double of the season. Utah is 10-2 when leading at halftime.

Boris Diaw to start at power forward to fill in the void left by the Derrick Favors (knee) injury. And with Harden dominating the ball, his three-point shooting percentage has improved from 40 percent last season to 43.8 percent this year.

The Rockets led 16-9 midway through the first quarter, and the Jazz took control with a 20-5 run, culminating with a 3-pointer from Hood.
