Dak Prescott took over following Romo's back injury at the start of the season, and has never given up his position, leading the Cowboys to 11 straight wins and a first placed ranking in the NFC.

The Cowboys and Vikings game is scheduled to begin at 8:30 P.M. Eastern.

Adam Thielen's fumble down in Minnesota's own territory at the beginning of the fourth quarter may have been the turning point of this game.

This game feels like it will come down to a field goal either way. The Vikings added two more field goals in the third quarter to go up 9-7.

Zimmer first experienced trouble with his right eye a couple of days before the October 31 game at Chicago and scratched the eye inadvertently during that game. Thielen fumbled as he was being taken to the ground and looked to get his hands on the football again.

Superior native Bud Grant and other Vikings legends were honored at halftime, and it's too bad Bud couldn't have coached this one, and Robert Smith could have returned to the backfield, in his prime, and maybe this one would have turned out different.

It was a familiar refrain that has been heard often over the last couple months.

But, as we've become accustomed to over the years, it just wound up not happening that way. "We're beating ourselves. It was penalties and dumb stuff". We need the momentum. He had punts of 16, 25, 38 and 33 yards, each of which put pressure on the Vikings defense. George (Edwards, the Vikings defensive coordinator) has called many games in this league.

Can the Vikings, who have had several tough losses, get a needed win at home?

Dez Bryant scored a fourth-quarter touchdown one play after the Cowboys' first takeaway since October 30, and Dallas (11-1) won its 11th consecutive game to tie a franchise record.

Elliott punched it in from there for his 12th rushing score of the year.

In a hard-fought battle with cornerback Xavier Rhodes, Bryant's 56-yard catch set up Ezekiel Elliott's 1-yard TD in the first half.

Missing out on the chances to make the game-changing plays cost the Vikings ... again.

Crawford said. "We did it all as a team". Kyle Rudolph is probably one of the five best tight ends in the game. While Bradford was tight-lipped about the missed call, Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was animated in the locker room, complaining about the lack of holding calls and the missed call on Minnesota's final offensive play. Will that game plan work against the Vikings?

That 5-0 start was a miracle, for sure, given what we've seen since, but it built confidence in a team and fan base hungry to win, especially in its new $1.1 billion stadium, the world's largest loudspeaker. "It's as simple as that". Quarterback Dak Prescott has thrown for 2,835 yards and 18 touchdown passes with a rating of 108.6. Whereas we couldn't pose a threat to it and its many stars, Dallas will, and that's going to be the big match-up tonight.

"I am just going to say it, I'm sick and exhausted of the reffing in this league right now", Robison said.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford kneels on the field after being injured during the first half of the team's NFL football game against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, in Minneapolis. "I'm not laying this loss on reffing, but at some point it's got to get better".

It wasn't that the refs weren't calling penalties. Priefer challenged the call, which was risky since a wrong challenge costs the team a timeout, plus they get the first down. In their previous 10 games the Cowboys made things look rather easy offensively. But the Cowboys defense was able to hold Minnesota's struggling offense under their 19.8 points per contest average as well.
