Shuttle bus service is being provided between Jackson Square on the Orange Line and Copley Station on the Green Line to help accommodate riders, the MBTA said on its website.

"Unfortunately that male was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained", MBTA Police Superintendent Richard Sullivan said. No foul play is suspected, officials say.

The tracks between Jackson and Haymarket Stations were closed for about an hour and a half as a result of the death. Boston EMS and Boston Fire responded to the scene to assist Transit Police, who reopened the station about 4 p.m.
