PlayStation chief Andrew House said: "More than three and a half years ago, I stood on stage in NY to unveil PlayStation 4, which captured our vision for the future of gaming".

On 7th September, Sony launched a pair of new PlayStation 4, including a deluxe version that is compatible with high dynamic range television. The device will incorporate 4K and HDR gaming, utilizing more than double the GPU of the PS4 and based off of the AMD Polaris.

"Even if you own an HDTV that does not support either 4K or HDR, PS4 Pro still provides a number of benefits".

Titled the PS4 Pro, experts say the console will be "ground-breaking", as well as being able to render games with ultra-high definition 4K graphics, sharper than 1080p HD.

Sony's upcoming gaming console PlayStation Neo has been a hot topic since early this year. All accessories and components that you use with the Xbox One console can be used with Scorpio as well. "When comparing the new PS4 model to the current model, we've reduced volume by 30%, weight by 16%, and power consumption by 28%", Andrew House, Chief Executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment, said. Since its reveal, many developers are sharing their thoughts about how this new console will revolutionize the game industry. The PS4 Pro offers more than twice the compute power of the standard PS4. Non-4K TV owners might be attracted to the Pro for their older 1080 TVs for a higher/more stable framerate.

The Xbox Project Scorpio - which Microsoft claims to be the most powerful gaming console ever - will arrive in the second half of 2017. Meaning they had to account for various hardware and scale the game accordingly, which allows them to take that same technology to PS4 Pro.

The price of the new improved PlayStation 4 will be $300, which is $50 less than the previous version.
